Global Capital Visibility: How TRW Consult Positioned a Sovereign Investment Brand for International Engagement

Executive Context

For sovereign governments and subnational regions seeking to attract foreign direct investment (FDI), building global capital visibility is paramount. TRW Consult was engaged to elevate the investment profile of a client facing strong competition for foreign capital. The goal was to create cross-border engagement, enhance institutional credibility, and strategically place the region as an investment-ready destination.

The challenge was compounded by the need for a reputation uplift following historical challenges. The client required not just visibility, but strategic positioning that could withstand scrutiny and stand out in global financial media.

Strategic Architecture

TRW Consult’s approach centered on creating a global visibility strategy, where reputation wasn’t just managed—it was systematically amplified.

The strategy included:

1. Social Media Amplification and Global Reach

A key component of this campaign was leveraging social media to generate cross-border awareness. This was achieved by:

  • Engaging Twitter influencers across multiple regions, including the U.S., U.K., and Nigeria

  • Utilizing real-time amplification to ensure global conversations were driven by the client’s economic narrative

Key results:

  • 15.9 million impressions generated on Twitter

  • 2,286 tweets including influencer engagement and organic content

  • #SovereignInvestment became a trending hashtag in targeted markets, amplifying the event’s narrative in real time

This engagement not only raised visibility but also positioned the client as forward-thinking and ready for investment.

2. Google Display Network & Premium Media Partnerships

To complement social media engagement, we launched a Google Display Network campaign, placing banner ads across global financial media outlets, including:

  • Forbes.com

  • Reuters.com

  • Bloomberg.com

  • WashingtonPost.com

  • SaharaReporters.com

The goal was to drive visibility on platforms with high institutional authority while targeting both diaspora and international capital allocators.

Performance metrics:

  • 1.58 million impressions delivered across high-profile, authoritative financial publishers

  • 2,368 clicks with top-performing placements including Forbes (488,562 impressions, 1,034 clicks) and Bloomberg (200,925 impressions, 2 clicks)

  • An average position of 1.0, ensuring top placement on relevant content pages for maximum exposure

This strategic media placement not only raised awareness but also established the client as a legitimate player within the global capital markets.

3. Geographic Targeting for Cross-Border Engagement

Geographic segmentation was key to ensuring that the right audience saw the right message at the right time. TRW Consult’s strategy prioritized key international markets with strong investment potential, including:

  • United States

  • United Kingdom

  • Nigeria

  • Netherlands

  • Germany

Performance highlights by location:

  • United States: 774,934 impressions and 956 clicks

  • Nigeria: 476,448 impressions and 763 clicks

  • Netherlands: 63,896 impressions and 295 clicks

  • United Kingdom: 182,128 impressions and 157 clicks

Over 50% of impressions came from the United States, highlighting the campaign’s success in reaching key diaspora investors.

4. Mobile-First Engagement Strategy

Given the mobile consumption habits of international investors, the campaign was optimized for mobile-first engagement. This included tailored mobile ad formats, optimized landing pages for smartphones, and real-time mobile engagement during critical moments.

Performance by device:

  • Mobile devices: 604,493 impressions and 1,765 clicks

  • Desktop devices: 783,908 impressions and 348 clicks

  • Tablets: 196,743 impressions and 255 clicks

The emphasis on mobile ensured that the campaign was not only visible but also highly engaging for mobile-first audiences.
